Mashimoni CBO started with a simple vision: create a safe space for children to read, learn, and dream. Over the years, we’ve grown into a vibrant community hub, offering literacy programs, mentorship, and extracurricular activities that transform lives in Mathare.

Our mission is to support children in Mathare with the tools they need to succeed in school and in life. We focus on education, mentorship, wellbeing, and family involvement—because a child does not grow in isolation. By working closely with parents, teachers, and community partners, we create safe spaces where children are supported, guided, and encouraged to stay in school. Our work helps learners build confidence, discipline, and direction, so they can grow into responsible young people with purpose, self-belief, and a clear sense of possibility.
